Nicola & Dan chose the beautiful setting of the Wordsworth Hotel in Grasmere for their late November Winter wedding. They kept to a subtle palette of Winter whites and navy.
Nicola showed me pictures from her hair trial and asked for some ideas for a lace comb to place on the left side, to tie in with the lace on her wedding dress. She also liked the idea of incorporating her 'Something Blue' into her bridal headpiece.
I managed to source some soft, fine, delicate lace to echo the pattern on her dress, and combined it with a heavier lace to match more closely the central section. The finished piece was a comb with lace and Swarovski crystals, ivory pearls and silver lined beads, with a few smaller flower clips to enhance her updo.
Nicola's hairstylist Gareth from Aqua Salon in Windermere did a brilliant job of placing the comb and the little flower clips, in her gently swept back up do. The overall look was very elegant and the little pops of blue Swarovski crystal were delicate, yet noticeable.
The groom also asked me to create some cufflinks for him and his brother and dad. As long standing Manchester City fans they opted for a sky blue background with each of their initials and the wedding date.
